Career Profile
I started as a graduate assistant at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi in 1986. I had two accelerated promotions, the highest any one could get, and was confirmed Professor of Animal Science in the Area of Animal Reproductive physiology in October,2002. I joined the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) in December,2007 as Jos study centre director. From Jos in 2015, I moved to our then head office in Lagos as the director Students Work Experience Scheme. In 2019 I was elected Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture of NOUN, based in Kaduna. In 2021, I was elected Deputy Vice-chancellor ,administration of NOUN, based in its headquarters in Abuja and still in that post.

I have been in academics from 1986 to date, within the university system. About 38 years. I have vast academic and administrative experience within the university system
About 93 peer reviewed published articles. I have attended many conferences, local and international were I presented papers and have established some links as well as contacts

1.Balancing Resources with Animal Population for Sustained use and Environmental Protection.19976 to 1999,six million naira(6m). It became a priority project and I had an extension of 6 months. I was given a letter of commendation by my then Vice-chancellor, for that feat. I was the principal investigator and we have since rounded up the project. The Award was by World bank under the National Agricultural Research Project(NARP)
2. Self-life of Kilishi under various storage conditions, two million naira (2m), 1996. I was the principal investigator. It was awarded by an NGO, New Nigeria Foundation. We have since completed the project
3. I participated in one ,Livestock systems research.1996, costing about six million naira (6m) only. It was awarded by the Federal Department of Livestock Services.
