Career Profile

Professor Nda E. Mundi started his career as a lecturer and researcher (Lecturer III to Senior Lecturer in College of Education Ankpa, Kogi State Nigeria in 1986 – 1994. He was the Head of Department of Agricultural Science in 1988 – 1990.

He joined the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi, Benue State Nigeria as Lecturer II in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Communication in 1994 – 1999.

Mundi took appointment with Kogi State University, Anyingba in 2000 – 2003 in order to develop his state as an indigene. He was the pioneer Head of Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension.

Mundi joined the service of National Open University of Nigeria in August 4th 2003 in the then School of Science and Technology now Faculty of Sciences. He was a Senior Lecturer (Programme Leader) in charge of B.Sc. and P.G.D. Agricultural Extension and Management (AEM) programmes, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) 2008 – 2011. He was Acting Dean School of Agricultural Sciences in Lagos Headquarters in 2014 – 2015 and was appointed Dean of the School in September, 2015 – June 2016.

Professor Nda E. Mundi was elected as Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), effective from 25th July, 2016 – 2018. Currently, he is a Director NOUN Special Study Centre NAF, Kaduna. He is one of the foundation staff of National Open University of Nigeria.

He has served in many positions. He has also served as chairman and member of several committees in Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State Nigeria; Kogi State University, Ayingba, Kogi State and in some committees in the former School of Science and Technology, NOUN. He obtained a B.Sc. (Ed) degree in Agriculture in 1984 and M.Sc. Agricultural Extension in 1991 at University of Ibadan. He obtained his Ph.D in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology, at Federal University of Technology, Akure in 2007.

Professor Mundi is a member of several professional and academic bodies and associations. He has published 81 scholarly academic papers to his credit at both national and international levels. He is a member of editorial boards and reviewer to several journals.

Professor Mundi has attended and participated in both local and international conferences, workshops and seminars. He has nine distinguished personality merit awards and several years of teaching, research and administrative experiences from tertiary institutions. He supervised very many undergraduate and postgraduate researches and dissertations and has been an External Examiner to some higher institutions of learning.
