Career Profile
Dr. Sylvanus Ibeabuchi Ogbonna is a distinguished academic and agricultural expert from Umuejia Umunna-Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State, Nigeria. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Crop Science from Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port-harcourt (1979-1983).
Dr. Ogbonna furthered his education at Enugu State University of Technology Enugu, earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Agricultural Economics and Extension (1991-1992). He obtained his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Agricultural Economics from Abia State University, Uturu (2012-2017).
Dr. Ogbonna serves as a lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja, a position he has held since December 4th, 2017. DR Ogbonna is now a Senior Lecturer. His academic and professional journey showcases his dedication to agricultural development and education.
